The workshop brought together specialists from the Metropolitan Transit Agency and certified tire retreading companies in Ecuador.

The main objective of this meeting was to minimize the damage and impact caused by road accidents and to safeguard citizens’ physical well-being by eliminating or reducing road risk factors. One of the most relevant and widely discussed topics was the importance of tire retreading. Retreading involves renewing the tread of a worn tire, giving it performance and characteristics similar to those of a new tire, but at a significantly lower cost.
